Pacific Rim: Uprising
Today, I saw Pacific Rim: Uprising . I have to admit, it is inferior to the 2013 original. In it, John Boyega ( Star Wars ) trains a group of kids to fight the Kaiju. Boyega's Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford did basically the same thing in Ender's Game . What I did not like was that the scientist played by Charlie Day ( It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ), who was a good guy in the original, was portrayed in negative light in the sequel due to linking his brain to a Kaiju brain. What I did like was Captain Boyega's speech to his young trainees, saying that they can be awesome no matter who their parents were. Another highlight was the presence of Scott Eastwood ( The Fate of the Furious ), son of the one and only Clint Eastwood, as Boyega's character's co-pilot. Also, I found some references to other films. Like in The Avengers , a mecha flies a missile into space in order to kill the advancing aliens. Like in Star Wars , characters use glowing swords against
