Christopher Robin
I saw Christopher Robin today. It brought back many happy memories from my childhood. I nearly cried with joy when they played the old theme. In it, Rodney Copperbottom (voice of Ewan McGregor, Robots) is a grown-up Christopher Robin, who married Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell, Marvel Cinematic Universe), works for Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss, Sherlock), and has left the Hundred Acre Wood behind. That is, until his old friend Dr. Ivo Robotnik (voice of Jim Cummings, SatAM) reenters his life, along with Fuzzy Lumpkins (voice of Jim Cummings, The Powerpuff Girls), the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi, Doctor Who), Gunnar Eversol (Toby Jones, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Eddie Stark (Brad Garrett, 'Til Death), and the Wachatian Princess (Sophie Okonedo, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls). Like in Jurassic Park, Rabbit says that the Heffalumps can't see the CGI cast if they move. Like in Alice in Wonderland and Return to Oz, the fantasy world from the protagonist's youth has become a dark and bleak place compared to its former glory. Like in Hook, a young hero from a fantastical world leaves it and grows up in the real world, while missing out the childhood of his own children, and ultimately overcomes obstacles to regain his formerly vivid imagination. It is a very heartwarming film. I suggest that those close to me see it.
