During the winter break, I saw a political thriller called The Post . This is how I see it. The Chief Elder (Meryl Streep, The Giver ) and Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks, The Da Vinci Code ) expose a massive cover-up of government secrets connected to four American presidents. Saul Goodman and Todd Alquist (Bob Odenkirk and Jesse Plemons, Breaking Bad ) appear as a journalist for the Washington Post and a law student, respectively.

My maternal grandfather served in the Second World War, which served as the setting for the 2009 Oscar-winning war film Inglourious Basterds , directed by Quentin Tarantino. 7 years later, the Star Wars  franchise produced a war movie of their own called Rogue One . The two are the exact same story. Let me tell you why. A military officer (Col. Hans Landa; Director Orson Krennic) from a deadly dictatorship (Third Reich; Galactic Empire) visits a farm located in occupied territory (France, Lah'mu) to convince a war-weary man (Perrier LaPadite; Galen Erso) to help him kill innocent people (Landa interrogates LaPadite for the whereabouts of the last unaccounted-for Jewish family in the area; Krennic tries to recruit Galen to finish building the Death Star, a superweapon capable of destroying entire planets), executing nearby civilians in the resulting standoff (Landa orders his soldiers to shoot the floorboards, killing the Jews hiding beneath it; Krennic kills Galen's wife). The 2012 dystopian science fiction action-adventure thriller film The Hunger Games  is an awesome movie. This is how I see it. Raven Darkhölme/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: First Class ) fights with/for/between Laser Allgood (Josh Hutcherson, The Kids Are All Right ) and Josh Taylor (Liam Hemsworth, Neighbours ) for everyone else's entertainment. Along the way, she is escorted by Miri (Elizabeth Banks, Zack and Miri Make a Porno ), trained by Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson, Zombieland ), interviewed by George Harvey (Stanley Tucci, The Lovely Bones ), dressed up by Nurse John McFadden (Lenny Kravitz, Precious ), and battles Riley Dawson (Leven Rambin, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ), Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman, Orphan ), and Seth (Alexander Ludwig, Race to Witch Mountain ), with President Bennet (Donald Sutherland, Pride & Prejudice ) and Blackheart (Wes Bentley, Ghost Rider ) watching over all.

As you might have noticed, I changed the image of my blog. That's because I thought it would be cooler. I also thought it fits how I made 13 feature-length movies when I was young. I called it the Toby Gold Cinematic Universe . Unfortunately, those movies were on an old computer which is now long since crashed. Recurring themes include supernatural forces, reluctant heroes, and the United Kingdom.

When I saw Power Rangers , I nicknamed the movie " Teens of Steel ", due to its plot being the exact same as the 2013 superhero film Man of Steel . Let me tell you why. Long ago, a wise alien leader (Jor-El/Zordon) fought and was killed by a former ally (General Zod/Rita Repulsa), right before the planet (Krypton/Earth during the Cenozoic era) was destroyed in an apocalyptic explosion (Krypton was destabilizing due to excessive mining of the planet's core/Zordon ordered his robot assistant, Alpha 5, to perform a meteor strike, destroying all life on Earth including himself). In the present day, a social outcast (Clark Kent/Jason Lee Scott) discovers a downed spaceship in an isolated area (reporter Lois Lane, accompanied by Clark, investigates the discovery of a Kryptonian scout ship in the Canadian Arctic/Billy Cranston, a fellow detention student, offers to remove Jason's ankle monitor in exchange for help at an old gold mine, inadvertently discovering Zordon...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  is a 2017 American science fiction superhero comedy film that came out on April 10, 2017 in Tokyo and May 5, 2017 in the United States. Let's explore this awesome movie. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  picks up where the 2014 blockbuster film Guardians of the Galaxy  left off. In this film, the Guardians are hired by the Sovereign, a powerful alien race, to protect precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket Raccoon stole the devices, the Sovereign resolve to hunt them down. During their escape, team leader Star-Lord learns where he came from. Like its predecessor, GotGV2  is set in outer space. The film balances light-hearted and serious moments, with the antics of an infant Groot being among the highlights. Also, the Sovereign homeworld and Ego's planet have a divine feel to it, almost like Asgard in Thor . The film's primary theme is family. Today, I have a cold, so I may not be in the game. When I first saw Kingsman: The Secret Service , I felt as if someone had dared Matthew Vaughn to make a British remake of Men in Black . This is why they are the same story. In 1997 ( MiB  takes place in that year;  Kingsman  opens in that year), an elderly spy (Agent D; Lee Unwin) exits the business (D decides he's too old for the job and asks his partner to erase his memory; Lee throws himself on a terrorist's grenade, saving his boss' life) after a standoff with a criminal in a dangerous region (the MiB agents intercept a truck full of illegal immigrants near the Mexican border, identifying a literal alien among them, who resists arrest and is killed by the agents; the Kingsman agents capture a terrorist in the Middle East, who tries to blow himself up while in custody).
